2012 Farm Tour, September 16th

Monday, August 13, 2012

We’ll be opening the farm up to the public on September 16th!  The event is part of the Ohio Ecological Farming and Food Association’s The 2012 Ohio Sustainable Farm Tour and Workshop Series. You will get to tour the farm and have a choice of several different Q&A sessions ranging from wild native edibles to cleaning and milling grains and get a chance to see the progress we have made on our small cool storage and produce prep shed.    Products and produce from the farm will be available for sale.  Located around the grounds will be a number of the region’s top artisan producers and chefs that our farm sells to.  You will be able to sample and ask questions in how they source locally.

The event starts at 2 PM on the dot!  It will end at 4 PM but guests are encouraged to stay and discuss local foods, farming, and the politics relating to both!

Cindy Meyer, owner of Riverwind Stables (located on the farm) will be offering a few rides in her cart pulled by a draft pony.  We will raffle these seats off among those who attend.  Six lucky winners will be able to ride with her.

You can RSVP for this event (not required) by email us at rstewart@zoomtown.com or by joining us on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/events/308691985896107/
